I worked on the custom CMS and user interface for console that were installed in hotel rooms. The touch screen consoles allowed users to utilize in-house services, search for restaurants and stores, and leverage other advertiser sponsored utilities. The CMS was utilizing CakePHP v1.2/1.3 and a PostgreSQL database, all running on a FreeBSD server. The touch screen user interface ran on a custom console unit with a chromeless browser window toolkit and a built in Apache server that served up CakePHP v1.2 content. Both the CMS and the console web applications utilized Javascript and AJAX to enhance usability. Development versioning was done using Mercurial and project management was handled via Redmine.

Environment: Linux (Fedora), Unix (FreeBSD), CakePHP v1.2 & 1.3, Javascript, AJAX, PHP 5.2 & 5.3, PostgreSQL 8.4, XHTML, Mercurial, Redmine, Bash
